With it being St. Patrick's Day and the NCAA tournament kicking off full bore, there will be plenty of folks out there foregoing their daily duties and heading out to party hard tomorrow. But if green beer and basketball isn't enough to keep you going this holiday, here's a look at some of the musical options along the Grand Strand. Kegs & Eggs
Wave 104.1 will broadcast its T&A St. Patties Day Keg & Egger Show LIVE at Shamrocks, 2510 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach. This will be the first time the show has gone out of its studios. Enjoy the full bar open at 6 a.m., live Rock and Roll from Power Born Rebellion (of cover contest fame), and live versions of the popular segments "Boob Sizes For prizes," "Toss Your Meat" and more!! The south end will celebrate in full force Thursday with a trio of options in Pawley's Island:
- Gilligan's Steamer & Raw Bar, 13707 Ocean Highway, Pawleys Island, will host a Happy Hour Deck Party for St. Patty's Day with music by Chris King, great drink specials & free appetizers from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Island Bar & Grill Pawleys, 10744 Ocean Highway, Pawleys Island, will host a St. Paddy's Party with The Forclosures from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Pawleys Island Tavern, 10635 Ocean Highway, Pawleys Island, will have Menace to Sobriety (Live Music, Drinking songs, originals) beginning at 8 p.m.
A tribute to...
Those who can't get enough classic hits, can get their fill of music this St. Patricks Day with a St. Patricks Day Party On the Big Deck at Myrtle Beach Resort, 5905 S. Kings Hwy. This event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. with Tony Lawrence & Aron Tyler's "Tribute to the Legends" including the music of Dion, Ricky Nelson, Roy Orbinson, Elvis Sam Cook, The Platters, The Everly Brothers and more.
Lawrence and Tyler will also perform their show from 1 to 4 p.m. at Myrtle Beach Travel Park, 10108 Kinks Road.
In addition, Local Elvis tribute artist King Shazaam will perform from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a St. Patrick's Day dinner with The King at Socastee Station, 4504 Socastee Blvd. Visit www.kingshazaam.com or Facebook for details.
Anderson in action
Treehouse frontman Jeremy Anderson will perform a double dose of St. Patrick's Day shows, playing acoustic sets at Harold's on the Ocean, 2301 N. Ocean Blvd., North Myrtle Beach, and Collector's Cafe & Art Gallery, 7740 N. Kings Hwy., Myrtle Beach. The HOTO's show will be 2 to 6 p.m., while he'll play Collector's Cafe from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Broadway goes green
As with any big occasion to let loose in Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach's Celebrity Square will play home to some of the area's largest party places this St. Patrick's Day.
Blarney Stones will open at 10 a.m. and keep the party going all day with DJ Rich, Paul Grimshaw and 21 Down. They'll also serve Irish foods with Patty Melts, Reuben’s and of course, Corned Beef and Cabbage. More details on Facebook.
In addition, Ten Toes Up will be kicking off a weekend-long St. Patrick's Celebration at Liberty Steakhouse with a performance from 6 to 9 p.m., there will also be Irish food specials and a chance to sample the microbrewery's new Irish Stout.
Plus, there 's always live music to be had at Froggy Bottomz with Diversity band performing, Crocodile Rocks dueling pianos and Broadway Louie's karaoke.
Gathering of the Green
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Downtown Conway with the first ever The Gathering of the Green event featuring music, entertainment, a taste of Conway and live & silent.
Tickets are $20 at the door. Your admission includes 10 leprechaun tickets that can be used for the Taste of Conway or beverages during the event. Rivertown History and Haunts will present stories of Conway throughout the evening. The schedule of events looks like this:

When St. Patrick's Day rolls around every bar goes all out to celebrate Irish heritage, but some Grand Strand establishments live it all year long.
O'Keefe's Irish Pub, 834 Inlet Square Dr., Murrells Inlet, will kick off the "largest celebration in Murrells Inlet" with kegs & eggs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Throughout the day, the place will offer corn beef & cabbage, bagpipers will perform, there will be vendors and outdoor entertainment including live music by headliners Biscuits & Gravy from 4 to 8 p.m. Visit Okeefespub.net for more details.
