Each Monday, we like to help you kick off your week on a musical note with some random selections from across the net. Up until now, that has meant taking to Twitter to find some great stuff from the microblogging service's infamous #musicmonday hashtag.
However, there's so much great stuff out there both locally and beyond, that we've decided to expand beyond the confines of 140 characters and bring you a quick rundown of some of our favorite links, articles, songs and sites from the past week. Here's what we've got on tap for this week.
The New Review's Top Ten Albums of 2010
It's always good to see these folks holding it down for the heavy and locals Lee and Jen Rochester — and the rest of the crew at TNR — do just that unveiling their picks for the best albums of 2010.
While hardcore fans will surely have their own opinions and feelings about whether their favorite groups made the list, we were happy to see a few standout efforts that we enjoyed make the cut such as Deftones "Diamond Eyes," Fear Factory "Mechanize," Mindslip's "Rising Up" and inexplicably Ke$ha's "Animal" (which made one reviewer's list.)

I LISTEN TO EVERYTHING
We're not sure if it's a good or bad sign when your mom turns you on to cool new websites, but thus was the case with this awesome listening hub.
I LISTEN TO EVERYTHING is a music website and blog designed to help average music lovers keep their music collections fresh and up-to date. It's a music blog for people who might not usually read music blogs.
It has a nice mix of mainstream and obscure bands, features some cool remixes of tracks you might already know and has a great pop-out player with multiple playlists that can surely help you find something new you'll like to listen to.

Rapsody - "Honda Accord feat. Skyzoo & Thee Tom Hardy"
Call us suckers for a 9th Wonder beat, but this track on the N.C. producer's Twitter account is worth a listen. It features Rapsody, a nice female emcee (hailing from Snow Hill, N.C.) who is signed to 9th's Jamla label accompanied by two of the hottest lyricists out there Skyzoo and Thee Tom Hardy.
If you like what you hear, check out her website for more of her music and a great little interview with 9th about the artist.

The Black Key "Brothers"
We have long been fans of this album for its cleverly-designed cover art, but for whatever reason — likely lack of attention span — we didn't really connect with it when it was released in May.
However, after hearing "Tighten Up" on WKZQ about 1,000 times and eventually using the Shazam app to identify the artist behind it, we've suddenly become addicted to the moody blues rock contained within this album.
Seeing as how this album has been nominated for multiple Grammys and made #2 on Rolling Stone's list of albums of the year, we doubt this is news to anyone, but still felt the need to proclaim love for it anyway.
