In an effort to honor the Roman god of wine, Hyman Vineyards, located off of Highway 701 in Conway, will host its first-ever Bacchus Festival & Harvest Gala, providing local folks with some heavenly fun Friday and Saturday.
The event which will include activities such as a Lucille Ball look-alike contest, grape stomping and wine making and drinking classes is something Vineyard owner Greg Hyman is looking forward to.
"I'm in the vineyard and wine business, and just thought it'd be a good way to let people know we're out here and do something fun for the community," he said.
In addition to the activities, the vineyard will provide lots of great food, including some top-notch BBQ and two great musical acts.
Elvis impersonator Mark Eskew will entertain the crowd at 5 p.m. Saturday and a girls choir from William & Mary College will also bring its vocal stylings to the event.
