Socastee High School graduate Tyler “Tye Dye” Davidson came to be noticed in the local scene — and beyond — as one half of local electronica/hip-hop duo The Technicolor Void, which was one of the most popular local acts among the high school set from 2009-2011.
With partner Will Misdom and Davidson parting ways to pursue solo efforts, Tye Dye then hooked up with a collective called Stoop Boyz, with producer Khaki Sedota and fellow rappers DeBre and Jake Love.
Describing himself as “That sailor-mouthed white kid that raps about getting fucked up and the better things in life,” Davidson has release various solo tracks, including the mixtape “Scorpio Season.”
After a period of searching for a new identity and dabbling with new names — including Sonny Raze — Davidson has returned to his roots adopting the moniker Tye Dye Rhymes and continuing to produce music regularly.
