Dubstep/Drum N Bass
Hometown: Leland, N.C.
Former Loris resident Storm Evans — a Pennsylvania native who now resides in Leland, N.C. — is a young Drum And Bass and Dubstep artist who takes his DJ name Tempest from the Greek word for Storm.
While the high school student is somewhat new to making electronic music, he’s chosen one of the area’s best after which to model himself. After getting turned onto the music from his aunt’s boyfriend, noted Drum and Bass DJ Daniel Brady (aka Mixmaster Doc), Evans picked up some software such as Audacity and Reason and was soon hooked on experimenting with different sounds.
Now working with a USB MIDI Controller mixing deck and producing on FL Studio, Evans is developing his own sound while staying determined to learn the ropes and get his name out there with hopes of being able to DJ DnB, Dubstep or Hip-hop events in the near future.
