Cleveland, Ohio, native Tyler Hinkleman is a graphic artist, fine artist and DJ who had previously made a name for himself in the Midwest as a Drum N Bass DJ known as Surora.
Upon moving to Myrtle Beach where he graduated from North Myrtle Beach High School in 2005, Hinkelman had some life-changing experiences and emerged with a new focus and a new sound, redubbing himself Jestah (aka Jest*R or Jestar).
He has continued to produce DNB, Dubstep, Downtempo and Electro tunes with and make mixes of all types awhile also being involved with organizing and supporting art and music events in the area.
