I'm also a developer, a writer, an illustrator, a blogger, a digital marketing professional and a creative problem solver. Not to mention a father, a husband, a marathon runner, a huge music nerd, a hockey player, a beer drinker, a CrossFitter and a guy whose shoes always match his outfit.
But of all the things that define me, what matters most to me is striving to be unique. Whether it's my compulsion for colorful kicks, my love of tacky tourist activities or my odd blend of musical tastes, the things that help me stand out from the crowd are the ones that make me tick.
Over the years, taking the path less traveled has led me to some pretty interesting places.
I've interviewed famous musicians and partied on rooftops with the top minds in digital marketing. I’ve also coached my kids soccer team and planned Halloween parties any mommy blogger would be proud of. I’ve created my own music magazine, won awards for illustration, gotten paid to ride in a NASCAR, emceed concerts, given talks to hundreds of professionals, and even once ran a marathon and scored a goal in beer league hockey in the same day.
In addition to keeping life from getting boring, this constant urge to pave my own path has also given me a unique perspective that allows me to see things a bit differently than most.
I've used this perspective to consistently challenge the conventions of every industry I’ve worked in and created a one-of-a-kind skillset that combines the best parts many different roles. This versatility allows me to be comfortable in nearly any situation, whether it's creative or technical, leading or collaborating, planning or executing.
During a career which now spans 15+ years, I've been lucky enough to be part of some amazing companies that have allowed me to create award-winning work and work with some outstanding people.
When I'm not designing things or checking items off my bucket list, I spend my time with my amazing wife, Heidi, and my two sons, Miles and Mason.
I was born in Wheeling, W.V., grew up in Westerville, Ohio, and attended Ohio University while pursuing a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Advertising. I'm life-long Ohio State Buckeyes fan, an adopted Colts fan from my time living in Indiana and a proud Columbus Blue Jackets season-ticket holder.
After spending 11 years in sunny Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, I was crazy enough to leave the beach in 2017 and relocated my family to the Columbus, Ohio, area and I couldn't be happier to be home.
I can’t imagine you’d need to know much more about me than all this, but if so feel free to reach out to me and say hi or check out some of my other projects.
